a backyard wedding: the fabrics
still brainstorming about invitations, but i think some headway was made regarding fabrics.
fabrics from anna maria horner's 'little folks dobby' and 'little folks voile' collections.

Post a Comment i got a new point-and-shoot camera. who knew cameras don't come with cases anymore. i made this pouch real quick to replace the sock i was using. i will probably do another (nicer) pouch, but this will work for the time being.

Post a Comment this past summer, mom and i took a workshop on improvisational quilting w denyse schmidt. mom and i, having used the same two focus fabrics, pooled our 8 squares to create an improv. quilt. along with our (blindly-chosen) bright fabrics, we paired two neutral fabrics. both the front and back are patchwork. the quilt is hand-tied as well as machine quilted. it is nearly all done. just needs a bright binding.
our poor improv. quilt has been neglected since july. i do hope to bind it off soon, but thought i would go ahead and share some pictures.

Post a Comment is it re-gifting if you are given the same gift over and over again, but in a different stage of completion?
i first received this camera strap canvas in december of '99. it was the christmas after my first quarter of high school photography. needless to say, the canvas was lost for about a decade. (it's hard to complain though, 10 years is nothing compared to the needlepoint ornaments my brothers and i got a couple years back, clearly dated 1983.)
seriously though, thank you mom. it looks great. i look forward to seeing my camera strap in my stocking, completed. let's say christmas 2019?
