i so enjoyed making the herringbone cowl for my cousin, i thought i would use up some scrap yarn and make another. while knitting, i figured i would gift it to someone. but now, having worn it for two weeks, i guess it's mine.

after knitting quinn's scarf, i knew i wanted to do another project with a herringbone stitch. so when purl came out with its big herringbone cowl, i could not resist. the recipient is an angelino (resides in los angeles) so i altered the pattern, making the cowl a bit less big.

yep, this is a knock off of a knock off... i needed a quick project when i was about to leave for the airport the other day, so i grabbed two different color hanks of this self-striping yarn. did a single row stripe technique i had been wanting to try out and combined it with some loose cabling. am looking forward to sporting this with my barbour coat all winter long. right now however, it is too hot to even model. thank you, stella!

mobius cowl or infinity scarf. call it what you will. it is a twisted circle of fabric. it can be worn looped once, draped in the front or back, or looped twice, up around the neck.
