shooting at home
shooting at home today. it's always a fight for the best light which means furniture is shoved aside. nothing to do, but shrug and laugh at the disarray.

post a comment i've been clocking a lot more hours from home lately and cannot help but notice (and then laugh) at all that has accumulated in this apartment in the past three plus years. when my new camera arrived a couple weeks ago, i thought i would capture some of my favorite little nooks that make me smile.

1 comment my sewing machine finally got a cover. i used martha's tea towel cover idea as a guide. instead of using a tea towel, i dug through my fabrics and found this linen/cotton, dotted gem by kiyohara called canvas dots.

post a comment after pulling out a 90% completed, two-tone gray, slouchy, cashmere hat (hopefully to be re-stitched, stay tuned), i decided to take on a more immediately rewarding task. i organized my yarns. i found angoras, mohairs, cottons, cotton-wool blends, aplacas, royal-alpacas, merinos... hand-spuns, hand-dyeds... lace, fingering, dk, sport, worsted, bulky and chunky weights... so much yarn. enough for several project. the most exciting part: i found over 6 skeins of cashmere: 2-, 4-, 5-, 6-ply, in grays, blues, orange and pink.
it's going to be a good, productive month.
anyone have any requests?
