i have finally finished this needlepoint project. it has been rolled up, 90% done on my desk for well over a year. i am thrilled to have it completed. it is off my desk and now living at the shore house in my favorite bedroom.

damariscotta farmers market

friday's farmers market just kept getting better and better. picked out flowers. ate a doughnut. met a dog. got some wool. (not pictured: the cheese and bread and berries that also came home with us)

fun finds from maine: denden's plates

found these never-before-used, hand-painted, gold-rimmed plates of my great grandmother's. they are pretty silly. unique. beautiful in their own right. they are to go on display in an antique hutch we found for the shore house kitchen.

fiber csa: the sheep farm

a few weeks ago, mom and i signed up for a fiber csa. and a few days ago, mom and i went to visit the sheep at hatchtown farm. it was amazing. cannot wait to see what those fabulous animals render.

lobster pumpkin

took a trip into town today. it seems the town of damariscotta recently held a pumpkin carving contest. all the local shops along main street participated. the post office's underwater scene was my favorite, although i hear the publik house did an outstanding clam.

mamma fergustuff and i went on the miles memorial hospital league house and garden tour of damariscotta, maine. unfortunately, photographing was prohibited inside the homes. it was a lovely afternoon nonetheless
