i'm off to work in a little bit. it is purl's last day on sullivan street. i have only worked in this space for two months, but i have been a customer for years. it will be hard to leave such a beautiful spot.

pioneers of change: working

pioneers of change: a festival of dutch design, fashion and architecture celebrating 400 years of dutch-american friendship. taking place in and around 11 former officers' houses on governors island. put together by droog.

thanks to my dear friend elizabeth jones, yesterday i attended / worked the pioneers of change vip opening. i sat in on a wonderful (invite only) panel discussion with pascale gatzen, arne hindrix, jake barton, scott stoll, moderated by julia lavine. after which i directed traffic for the most part. but also had the chance to act as a docent at house 17: the fashion house. (pictures above)

i cannot wait to get back to spend more time at the exhibit. i highly recommend checking it out.

csa shift

roommate and i worked our greene harvest csa (community supported agriculture) shift this morning at habana outpost. today the fruit and vegetable share included: cantaloupe, potatoes, carrots, onions, green peppers, celery, swiss chard, lettuce, parsley, basil, apricots and peaches. 

such a lovely way to spend a sunny saturday morning.
